1. Introduction

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Welcome! These API Guides help explain terminology and usage details for our Denim API. This API provides an interface primarily for submitting loads/invoices into Denim, which enables our financial tools to be used with third-parties, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), limiting duplicate data entry for mutual clients.

Getting Started

Steps to Launching the Integration:

  1. Contact our partnerships team to acquire a Denim Sandbox account

  2. Review our documentation

    1. Technical API Documentation

    2. Developer Guide

    3. Common questions

  3. Schedule a Technical Overview or Technical Design Review (optional)

    1. We highly recommend our partners participate in this call. By reviewing your design, we will be able to significantly cut down on the rest of the time to develop the integration

    2. The Denim team will answer any questions you have

    3. We will also identify areas that we know may cause delays / hinder the progress of the integration

  4. Develop the integration using Sandbox Data

    1. Integrators will be given credentials to a unique Denim staging environment with preloaded data to mimic the characteristics of the Denim production environment and create simulated responses for the development of the integration

    2. If you're having difficulties with your sandbox credentials you can reach out to Denim Support for assistance

  5. Schedule a Testing / QA call (required to go live)

    1. Prior to the QA call Denim request partner provide sandbox credentials

      1. Denim can identify bugs within the integration that may arise and provide suggestions to improve the integration

      2. By enabling Denim with credentials you provide us the ability to offer additional support to your team and to the customers leveraging the integration
